Corroboree Billabong Half day Private Tour

Ab AUD 550,00 AU$
  • Dauer: 4 Stunden (ca.)
  • Ort: Marrakai, NT
  • Produkt-Code: PBCNDL
A personal wetlands boat tour by renowned local nature photographer and guide Paul Thomsen.  Cost is $500 plus $50 per person up to 4.

The tour is for all ages and interests - whether you're just wanting to see the sights of the wetlands, you're a birder, or a photographer of any experience from beginner to professional.  Paul knows Corroboree like the back of his hand and is a local born in Darwin and has lived here all his life.

Please note times are indicative only and will slightly change through the year as sunrise or sunset times change.  Also tours are sometimes subject to seasonal and weather conditions as the Top End can be a wild place.

For sunrise you'd normally be at the meeting place of the WILDFOTO Gallery (or the Corroboree Park Tavern if you wish) 30 minutes before sunrise but Paul will contact you before your tour to verify times etc.  You can also meet at the boatramp 10 minutes before sunrise if you prefer.

For sunset we normally meet at the WILDFOTO Gallery (or the tavern) at 3pm and we'd be in the water at 3.30pm until sunset.  Or again, at the boatramp 10 minutes before which would be 3.20pm.

Please fill out optional tour preferences whilst booking so Paul can tailor your tour so you get the most out of it.

Cool water and muesli bars will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have dietary or other preferences.  Although 4 passengers are possible the tour is better for 1-2 passengers as the 3rd and 4th passengers will have to sit on a padded bench seat facing backwards at the front.  1-2 passengers only definitely better if they have large cameras etc.

Just light cool clothing and a hat recommended - sandals or thongs are fine.  It can be quite cold first up on a dry season morning so you may want a jacket at first light.  Insects aren't normally too bad and although there is repellent on the boat feel free to bring your own if you prefer and sunscreen.

Fitness level required is not high at all but you may need to step up and down 30cm or so to get in and out of the boat - so if you have mobility issues please keep this in mind.  Paul will of course assist you in getting in and out.

There is a toilet at the gallery/tavern and also at the boatramp so don't stress about that - we can always go back to that and won't make you go over the side with the crocodiles watching :)
